Not just a page — a community. Since 2010, PenangLang has been where Penang locals go for the food, the news and the stories that make this island home. Wanderseek is our newest project: that community’s knowledge, turned into a map you can eat your way through.
Our story
It started with a feed. It grew into a family.
In 2010, PenangLang (槟城人) began as a simple idea: give Penang people one place for the food worth queuing for, the news worth sharing, and the local stories nobody else was telling. Sixteen years later, that idea is 667,000 followers strong across Facebook, Instagram, 小红书 and TikTok — and the voice Penang businesses come to when they want to be seen.

But a feed scrolls away. The best kang tao — the hawker uncle, the cliff-edge café, the stall that only opens till it sells out — deserves more than a post that disappears by tomorrow. So in 2026 we built Wanderseek (搵到食): everything PenangLang locals know, on a living map you can open any time you’re hungry. It’s brand new — and it’s yours to grow with us.
