Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi

The first thing that hits you is the scale of the carving—granite pillars wrapped in dragons, walls layered with gilded detail, wood and stucco work that stops you mid-step. Built by the Hokkien Khoo clan in the 19th century, this is both temple and museum, a physical record of migration and wealth spanning from Fujian to George Town. The ground floor displays the clan's history alongside the architecture itself; the craftsmanship speaks louder than any label ever could.
